With a Glenrothes, it is very often a smooth and delicate whisky, but with this Maker's Cut edition, there a few differences like its higher alcohol punchiness. This whisky was been matured only in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks and bottled with its natural colour.
Tasting notes of the distillery: On the nose, dried grapes and candied orange with fresh oak. On the palate, the whisky is rich and spicy with vanilla and orange peel. The finish is long and fruity, orange with a hint of nutmeg.
