Rum takes many names according to its origin and Kill Devil is one that it goes by in the British West Indies. It is also the name chosen by the independent bottler Hunter Laing for their range of rums that are single cask rums, aged and bottled in Scotland. Distilled at the Foursquare distillery in November 2006, this molasses rum is made with a blend of distillates from pot-still and column-still. It is aged for 12 years in an oak barrel, a unique barrel that gave 303 bottles. The result is a well-balanced rum with notes of vanilla and citrus with a hint of white pepper.
