Description
This Oban 12 year old cask strength whisky is proposed as part of Diageo's special release 2021. This whisky was distilled in 2008, aged in ex-bourbon and refill casks. And before tasting it, listen to the little fable to be scanned on the back of the box of the two foxes that came through the character of this whisky.
Tasting notes of the distillery: On the nose, mellow, with maritime notes of seaweed, salt and black pepper. On the palate, very smooth, the taste is fruity and lightly citrus-sweet, balanced by a pinch of salt mid-palate and an insistent yet never overpowering spiciness from the fresh-charred casks. The finish is quite long, finishing spicy with a shake of pepper.
