The Glenturret Distillery founded in 1763 is one of the oldest in Scotland still in activity and, as so often in this period, its beginnings starts with illicit distillation and stories of smugglers. Since this distant period, the distillery has kept the charm of a small production. This 12-year-old Glenturret is part of the new 2020 range relooked by its new owner, the Lalique house. For this 2022 edition, fewer than sixty casks have been selected. American oak hogshead that bring the sweetness of a dessert and European oak casks for dried fruits and spice touch.
Tasting notes of the distillery: Caramelised apples and vanilla cream. A fruit tart with a cinnamon glaze topped with a caramel drizzle and a light oaky finish.
