The production process of this whisky is a well-kept secret. But we know that it is made with barley called "chocolate malt". A barley from Cadboll where was found an old stone engraved by the Pictish, one of these symbols is found on the bottles of Glenmorangie. This whisky is matured in first fill bourbon casks but also in sherry oloroso casks, some of which are over 30 years old.
