The Knockando distillery, whose name in Gaelic means "small black hill", is located right next to the Spey River, a quiet place ideal for fishing salmons and where whiskies slowly mature. This 18 year old vintage year 1998 is aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak ex-Sherry casks. A perfect digestive whisky that will also go well with a cheese platter.
