Description
The Torabhaig distillery situated on the Isle of Skye began distilling in 2017 and this peated single malt has been released in 2021. This second edition of a young whisky was made with two varieties of barley, Concerto and Laureate, malted and with a peat level measured at 77ppm. The fermentation was done out with Pinnacle MG+ and Safspirit M-1 yeasts and the distillate was aged in first-fill bourbon and re-fill whisky barrels. Thirty of these casks were selected for this small batch bottled without chill-filtration or colouring, with a residual peat-smoke level of 17ppm.
