Description
This whisky is the first expression in the Sinclair series, which pays homage to the founder of the distillery, John Sinclair. An expression inpired by the story of the San Juan de Sicilia, a Spanish galleon that sank off the harbour of Tobermory more than 400 years ago. The link is the use of Spanish red wines casks that contained Rioja for the finishing of this peaty whisky which was previously matured in ex-bourbon casks. A single malt with flavours of smoke, spices, grape and sweet berries, with a lingering saltiness.
