This intensely peated Port Charlotte (40 ppm) is made with 100% Scottish Concerto barley. It is 8 years old and aged in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks for 6 and 7 years, then in ex-red wine casks from the Pauillac region in Bordeaux for respectively 2 years in first-fill casks and 1 year in second-fill casks. Taste according to the distillery: Earthy smoke and woody with dried fruits and spices and a little coconut with a marine breeze.
