Built in 1855 in Edinburgh and also named Edinburgh at its early stage, the Caledonian distillery operated until 1988 when it closed. What remains of the huge building of this period is now converted into apartments. A bygone era that is found only in this bottle. This grain whisky from the Caledonian distillery comes from a unique cask, a vintage 1974. Proposed in 2015 by the independent bottler Hunter Laing, it's a part of the Sovereign range. A whisky aged for 41 years in a refill hogshead and bottled at cask strength. Limited to 200 bottles.
