In the “innovation and experimentation” series, this Johnnie Walker Red Rye is a sweet and light expression. It is a blend of grain whiskies, including from the closed Port Dundas distillery, and malt whisky from the Cardhu distillery. The whiskies were matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then spent about 6 months in rye casks. A whisky that can be enjoyed dry, or if you are inspired, why not try a Rob Roy.
