Long before being a distillery, Deanston's red brick building housed a cotton mill. A revolutionary plant that operated with the strength of the nearby river and is still the pride of Deanston Distillery today as being the only in Scotland that is self-sufficient in electricity. Warehouse Dram offers us the discovery of this whisky with a version of a 16-year-old matured in an Octave (50 liters) ex-bourbon cask, reduced to 46% and still without chill filtration or coloured. Distilled in 1997, bottled in 2014. Limited to 72 bottles.
