Description
Lochlea is a Lowlands farm distillery founded in 2018. They produce their own barley for the distillery and it is said that the poet Robert Burns worked on the farm for some years. Newly released in July 2022, this whisky has been aged in three types of casks, first fill Bourbon casks, Oloroso Sherry casks and STR (Scraped, Toasted and Re-charred, which are red wine barrels rejuvenated by reworking the outside by scraping it and re-burning the inside). It is bottled without chill filtration and with its natural colour.
