Scotland is also the story of clans and for the Dalmore distillery, it’s the Mackenzie clan whose stag became the emblem after saving King Alexander III from a charge of the animal during a hunt. It is the emblem with 12 antlers that we find on the bottle. This single malt is a creation of the master distiller Richard Paterson, who chose to age this whisky in bourbon casks for 14 years before maturing them for an extra 4 years in old sherry casks.
